MASSIMO AIELLO Tribute To Beethoven:Drum in The
Symphony No 9
Massimo Aiello is primarily self trained in
musical research and is a drummer of both classical and rock persuasions.
In this 4 track release Massimo provides evidence if any is needed that he
is a talented and interpretive performer. As this is a classical release I
must admit to being a tad ignorant of the original pieces and would have
liked more information. It is a complex release and appears to be a set of
new interpretive drum pieces set to a classical philharmonic recording (not
performed live with the orchestra) With the introduction of percussion
into what was otherwise a far less percussive set of pieces that would
either have amazed or outraged Beethoven. Peter Sutton
